Home VisitsDoctor's bag

Those who are elderly or housebound and cannot attend the surgery can request a home visit by telephoning 0345 013 0710 before 1pm.

Home visits are carried out by the Advanced Nurse Practitioners who will call prior to any decision being made about a visit. If a home visit is agreed by the ANP, due to COVID 19 guidelines, when they arrive at the house, no other household members should be present in the room with the patient unless they are invited in by the ANP.

Please do not ask for a home visit unless you are genuinely unfit to attend the surgery. It is important to request visits before 1pm to allow us to plan the day. Only emergencies will be visited after this time by phoning the main reception phone number.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
